of the wine was partially barrel fermented, then matured for six months
in the new and one year in old American oak. Appearance Light Straw |
Typical varietal Semillon aromas of fresh lemon and citrus peel, with hints of straw and graassy characters, underscored by smoky vanillian oak. | Ripe lemony, citrus fruit aromas carry
through onto the palate, with the grassy, straw-like flavours adding complexity
and depth to the crisp, fresh finish. there is a subtle, creamy texture
to the palate, coming from the age on the yeast lees and the spicy, vanillian
oak character lends persistence to the flavour length. Serve Chilled 8° - 12° |
Wonderful with seafood particularly if dressed with creamy dressings or cooked in butter or oil, as the crispness of this wine freshens the palate after after oily food. Try it also with fresh antipasto. |
